Image Transfer Tutorial using Citrasolv: Upcycling Fashion!

I love transferring my images into fabric using Citrasolv, which is a non-toxic, eco friendly cleaner & degreaser (found on health food stores). I have been doing a lot of tea towels and pillows will be my next project using this technique. I'll be posting a few tutorials here about this subject.

The product's website shows a tutorial on transferring an image into a vintage canvas bag. A fun upcycling fashion project! Upcycling is the practice of taking something wasteful and turning it into a more attractive and useful item, as you can see on the example below. You can see a tutorial here.

What can you do with image transfers?

Wondering what you could do with those great digital images you have? Print them into iron-on  transfer papers using your inkjet printer for fabulous and fun projects.  Here are a few suggestions that I'll show you using my Vintage Paris Bird digital image (if you're interested in this image, you can find it at my Etsy shop).

Transferred into pillows...

Into the very popular burlap...

Into t-shirts, printed directly onto note cards and gift tags...

Also great as framed art! Here you see 3 framing variations.

What's YOUR favorite digital image transfer use or technique?
I would love to hear from you!
